Roy Green | RCMP may Allow Hijabs as part of Police Uniforms

Ezra Levant is reporting that the hijab may be incorporated into police uniforms soon. Levant says he has the information from the RCMP but they are refusing to confirm.  Is incorporating the hijab into the RCMP uniform compromising a true Canadian tradition, or an appropriate acknowledgment of diversity?  Is it like the turban being incorporated into the RCMP uniform in 1990?  Several countries with strong majority Muslim populations have banned or restricted wearing the hijab and/or niqab (face veil). Toronto Police Service has allowed the wearing of the hijab as part of the police uniform since 2011, while Edmonton Police Service has done so since 2013.
If it's true and the RCMP announces the hijab will be permitted as part of the police unifo rm, would you support or challenge it?
