Friday night, Donald Trump[1], Republican candidate for President[2], held a rally in Rock Hill, South Carolina[3] . The rally was its usual large crowd and excitement in the air over Donald Trump[4] speaking to supporters about his plans to make America great once again. In the crowd of thousands, 3 individuals stood out in the crowd. One woman, wearing a hijab and 2 men of the Muslim faith. All three wore yellow stars on their clothing reminiscent of what Jewish people had to wear during the Nazi regime of World War II. Each had a different phrase. Rose Hamid[5], who was wearing the hijab, also wore a star that said Muslim and a tee shirt that read, "Salam, I come in peace." The others who attended with her had stars that read "Human" and "Stop Islamophobia." The silent protest of the three ended with Rose Hamid being escorted out of the rally to cheers of the crowd chanting "Trump, Trump, Trump." There was even some chants of "She has a bomb."
Trump speaking from his podium was not even aware that Hamid was being escorted out or that she was standing silently behind him in the crowd. When made aware of the situation, when he heard the chants, he then turned and said "is there a problem?" It was at this point that Trump said of the disruption, ""There is hatred against us that is unbelievable. It's their hatred, it's not our hatred." Trump's rallies have removed people before who were not supporters of the Republican's campaign. Just this week stopped people who wanted to attend a rally in Vermont to ask if they were truly Trump supporters.
Trump[6] has called for a "total and complete shutdown" in December, of all Muslims[7] from entering the United States, Trump explains that the threat of ISIS is real and that attacks against the American public has only grown as the shooting in San Bernardino proves . He has also suggested closing down mosques because the mosques can be harboring extremis ts. Trump has also suggested that the United States can be compiling a "Muslim database" from these mosques. Trump has defended his plan stating that "you had the two people, the two wackos that came, who went on a deadly rampage on December 2nd. How about that? Came in on a what, a marriage visa?" Trump has held steadfast in the theory that the United States has to be protected from radicalized Islam[8].
